External Assessment Methods

Not all CPCAB qualifications have a separate external assessment. Qualifications which have a separate external assessment are listed below. Where external assessment applies:

Candidates must have completed at least two-thirds of the course before taking external assessment
Candidates must pass the external assessment and meet all qualification requirements to achieve the qualification.

CSK-L2	CPCAB DVD of a helping session and written paper	Under exam conditions
CST-L3	CPCAB DVD of a counselling session and written paper	Under exam conditions
TC-L4	Candidate audio tape and written paper	Under exam conditions
CBT-L5	Structured Case Review	3,000- 3,500 words
PC-L5	Structured Case Review	3,000- 3,500 words
TCSU-L6	Structured Case Review	3,000- 3,500 words

All external assessments are assessed and moderated by a team of experienced assessors and moderators at CPCAB.
