CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) is the UK’s leading awarding organisation in the counselling sector. We provide a coherent counselling qualifications progression route (levels 2-6) including a Foundation Degree in Counselling with the Open University. We also produce a range of counselling training videos via our sister company the Counselling Channel. Due to our continued expansion we are looking to appoint skilled and enthusiastic individuals for these new and exciting roles based at our offices in Baltonsborough near Glastonbury.

Level 5 Course in Trauma Counselling Trainer / Tutor - Swindon

Part Time, self-employed

Willows Counselling in Old Town, Swindon is a well-established charitable Counselling agency and Training centre. We have 30 years’ experience of delivering counselling and CPD training, from introductory courses, through to full qualification on the Level 4 Diploma, and our annual stand-alone suite of CPD training days.
 
We are currently recruiting a part time (self-employed) trainer to deliver our CPCAB Level 5 Course in Trauma Counselling. You will need to be available to teach two days per month (Friday and Saturday) from January to December 2020. There will be no teaching sessions in April or August. 
The start date for the role will be January 2020, however there will be a requirement to attend pre course meetings and student interviews on negotiable dates during late 2019. 
 
This post will suit a qualified counsellor with a minimum of two years’ experience delivering relevant counselling training courses, trauma training or who has gained extensive experience of working within the field of complex trauma. It requires a deep knowledge of the causes and effects of trauma, how childhood trauma manifests in adult life and how to recognise and work with trauma in the counselling room. A solid understanding of trauma models and the safety and risk elements of working with complex trauma will be advantageous.
You will be in current clinical practice, have some experience of supervising students or other clinicians and ideally be accredited with a relevant professional body. It is essential that you can evidence significant experience of trauma focussed work within your clinical practice.

Counselling Tutors - Listening Post

Who we are:

Listening Post is a small and friendly team, delivering counselling to people in the Gloucestershire area and training those who want to become a counsellor, up to a Level 4 Diploma.

What we need:

We are currently looking for part-time tutors to join our growing training team to deliver our Foundation Course in Counselling Skills (Level 2 & 3) and our Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4).

Why you should apply:
If you:
  • have a therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above (420 taught hours).
  • are in current supervised counselling practice, ideally with a minimum of 450 hours of counselling.
  • have a supervision qualification or experience of supervising groups or individuals in a counselling setting.
  • have a teaching qualification or are willing to work towards one.
  • have experience of teaching and assessing at Level 2 & 3 or above, ideally for at least two years.
  • have a desire to shape the next generation of counsellors in an integrative model of Person-Centred and Psychodynamic approaches.

When we need you:

We need tutors to start with immediate effect. You should be available to teach one afternoon and evening session per week over three terms plus some Sunday workshops during the academic year.

Level 4 Tutor - Synergie Counselling, Dudley

Synergie Counselling are looking to expand their Dudley Centre in the West Midlands, and have a vacancy for a Level 4 Tutor.

The ideal Candidates will be:

  • Qualified Counsellor to at least level 4 (CPCAB Preferred)
  • A Member of the BACP with a minimum of 450 hours of counselling practice
  • 2 years' minimum experience of delivering either a diploma or degree level training
  • Experience of teaching an Integrative Counselling Approach
  • Be in current clinical practice

Support is required for the remainder of this academic year 2018/2019 with a view to progress to teach The Level 4 CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling Year 1, which will run on Saturdays from 10am to 4.30pm during the academic term time 2019/2020.

Place2Be Volunteer Counsellors - Nationwide

If you are a qualified or trainee counsellor/therapist, or clinical psychologist and would like to work therapeutically with children, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a primary or secondary school setting. We provide on-site same day supervision, developmental training and possible career progression within the organisation. Placements are generally one day per week, for one academic year, term time only. Half day placements may be available in some areas.

Volunteer placements for counselling students - London

London Young Counselling is an organisation which provides counselling and mental health support to secondary schools across the UK. Their service works closely with schools to provide 1:1 counselling sessions to students weekly, during their school day.
 
London Young Counselling offers placements to people currently in their second year of a counselling course as well as qualified counsellors, all through the year. They expect counsellors to be able to commit to at least one academic year and be able to commit to at least a 3 hour placement slot per week. London Young Counselling cover the costs of insurance, DBS checks and necessary training for volunteers of the service.
