CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body) is the UK’s leading awarding organisation in the counselling sector. We provide a coherent counselling qualifications progression route (levels 2-6) including a Foundation Degree in Counselling with the Open University. We also produce a range of counselling training videos via our sister company the Counselling Channel. Due to our continued expansion we are looking to appoint skilled and enthusiastic individuals for these new and exciting roles based at our offices in Baltonsborough near Glastonbury.

Counselling Qualifications Professional

CPCAB, Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, have two available roles for Counselling Qualifications Professionals.

Remote working or blended working a possibility.

The suitable candidate will be a counselling professional, and a skilled and experienced tutor, with proven ability to deliver CPCAB Qualifications. The candidate will have an interest in supporting good quality counselling training and upholding standards.

The candidate must have a solid understanding of the CPCAB qualification structure, and the ability to support tutors and centres with the delivery of their qualifications.

Responsibilities of the role include approving centre and qualification applications, coordinating the assessment and moderation of counselling qualifications, reviewing and revising qualification structure and content in line with changes in the counselling and educational landscape.

  • Role 1 has a focus on supporting the Tailormade qualification service and enhancing quality assurance processes.
  • Role 2 has a focus on supporting the robustness of higher-level qualifications.

The roles are offered 3-4 full days a week, £36,000 fte

RHACC designs and delivers courses in the most appropriate way to meet the needs, interests and abilities of both adults and young people who wish to learn in an adult environment.
We are seeking an experienced Tutor to teach on our Level 4 Counselling course on a Tuesday daytime.  
As a Part-time Tutor, you will join our bank of teaching staff and will be offered course,  as and when, that match your area of expertise. Part-time Tutors work closely with Programme Managers in designing, planning and delivering courses which stretch and challenge our learners, as well as preparing a variety of learning materials, providing guidance to learners on progression options, attending termly meetings and completing course administration relating to Internal Quality Assurance.
The successful candidate will be a BACP accredited member. Candidates will be undergoing continual professional development as per the BACP requirements, and also will be educated to Diploma level in Counselling, with significant post qualification experience including supervision. 
Applicants should have experience of agency work as well as private practice. 
In addition to counselling experience and qualifications, applicants should hold a minimum adult teaching qualification (Education & Training Level 3) and delivered Counselling courses, preferably CPCAB courses.  
In addition, applicants should have experience of assessing work in line with Internal Quality Assurance processes. Applicants should hold qualifications in Assessing and Internal Quality Assurance. 
Applicants should be familiar with the integrative model of theory as well as other models such as Freud and Rogers.

We are a small, friendly team, delivering CPCAB counselling training and have a vacancy for a part time Level 2 & 3 Tutor to teach one evening per week in Lichfield City Centre from 6-9pm during academic term times.

As a tutor you will support students to 
• take the next step in training to become a recognised professional counsellor
• learn more about counselling theory, ethics and mental health
• prepare for work as an independent professional counsellor.
Professional Counselling experience is essential as is a level 4 teaching qualification. A passion for the subject and a desire to develop practitioner training for learners, that includes equipping learners with the skills, knowledge and competencies to volunteer or be potentially employed in a counselling agency in both health care and non-medical settings. Learners with sufficient experience could also be supported to begin working as independent practitioners in private practice.

Counselling Tutors - Listening Post

Who we are:

Listening Post is a small and friendly team, delivering counselling to people in the Gloucestershire area and training those who want to become a counsellor, up to a Level 4 Diploma.

What we need:

We are currently looking for part-time tutors to join our growing training team to deliver our Foundation Course in Counselling Skills (Level 2 & 3) and our Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4).

  • have a therapeutic counselling qualification at level 4 or above (420 taught hours).

Level 4 Tutor - Synergie Counselling, Dudley

Synergie Counselling are looking to expand their Dudley Centre in the West Midlands, and have a vacancy for a Level 4 Tutor.

The ideal Candidates will be:

  • Qualified Counsellor to at least level 4 (CPCAB Preferred)
  • A Member of the BACP with a minimum of 450 hours of counselling practice
  • 2 years' minimum experience of delivering either a diploma or degree level training
  • Experience of teaching an Integrative Counselling Approach
  • Be in current clinical practice

Place2Be Volunteer Counsellors - Nationwide

Volunteer placements for counselling students - London

London Young Counselling is an organisation which provides counselling and mental health support to secondary schools across the UK. Their service works closely with schools to provide 1:1 counselling sessions to students weekly, during their school day.
London Young Counselling offers placements to people currently in their second year of a counselling course as well as qualified counsellors, all through the year. They expect counsellors to be able to commit to at least one academic year and be able to commit to at least a 3 hour placement slot per week. London Young Counselling cover the costs of insurance, DBS checks and necessary training for volunteers of the service.

H2H Invites applications for voluntary counselling placements with the Hurting to Healing Counselling Service.
