Level 5 Course in Trauma Counselling Trainer / Tutor - Swindon
Part Time, self-employed
Willows Counselling in Old Town, Swindon is a well-established charitable Counselling agency and Training centre. We have 30 years’ experience of delivering counselling and CPD training, from introductory courses, through to full qualification on the Level 4 Diploma, and our annual stand-alone suite of CPD training days.
We are currently recruiting a part time (self-employed) trainer to deliver our CPCAB Level 5 Course in Trauma Counselling. You will need to be available to teach two days per month (Friday and Saturday) from January to December 2020. There will be no teaching sessions in April or August.
The start date for the role will be January 2020, however there will be a requirement to attend pre course meetings and student interviews on negotiable dates during late 2019.
This post will suit a qualified counsellor with a minimum of two years’ experience delivering relevant counselling training courses, trauma training or who has gained extensive experience of working within the field of complex trauma. It requires a deep knowledge of the causes and effects of trauma, how childhood trauma manifests in adult life and how to recognise and work with trauma in the counselling room. A solid understanding of trauma models and the safety and risk elements of working with complex trauma will be advantageous.
You will be in current clinical practice, have some experience of supervising students or other clinicians and ideally be accredited with a relevant professional body. It is essential that you can evidence significant experience of trauma focussed work within your clinical practice.

What we need:
We are currently looking for part-time tutors to join our growing training team to deliver our Foundation Course in Counselling Skills (Level 2 & 3) and our Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Level 4).

Synergie Counselling are looking to expand their Dudley Centre in the West Midlands, and have a vacancy for a Level 4 Tutor.
The ideal Candidates will be:
Qualified Counsellor to at least level 4 (CPCAB Preferred)
A Member of the BACP with a minimum of 450 hours of counselling practice
2 years' minimum experience of delivering either a diploma or degree level training

Volunteer placements for counselling students - London
London Young Counselling is an organisation which provides counselling and mental health support to secondary schools across the UK. Their service works closely with schools to provide 1:1 counselling sessions to students weekly, during their school day.
London Young Counselling offers placements to people currently in their second year of a counselling course as well as qualified counsellors, all through the year. They expect counsellors to be able to commit to at least one academic year and be able to commit to at least a 3 hour placement slot per week. London Young Counselling cover the costs of insurance, DBS checks and necessary training for volunteers of the service.
