April 2026
Hello Spring
With Spring in full swing and a little more sunshine making its way into our days, we hope this season is off to a good start. We're excited to share the latest updates, resources and developments from CPCAB to support you through the remainder of the academic year.
Funding Update
There are a number of funding updates being rolled out for the next academic year and beyond.
- All current funding streams for CPCAB’s qualifications have been rolled over into the new academic year by the Department for Education. This means centres can continue to access funding for Level 2 to Level 5 qualifications as usual.
- From January 2027, learners at eligible centres will be able to apply for the Lifelong Learning Entitlementfor selected Level 4 and Level 5 qualifications.
- Advanced Learner Loans for the selected qualifications continue until 2030, with centres encouraged to transition to LLE prior to this end date.
- Funding for the LC-L4 will end on 31st December 2026.
- Increased funding is available for the Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling following it’s approval as a Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ).
We advise you to read the full article regarding the funding updates here

CPD in Group Supervision for TC-L4 Tutors
Following the success of our CPD in group supervision for CAST-L3 tutors, we are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a similar CPD programme for tutors seeking approval as TC-L4 core tutors.
This workshop is being developed for tutors who meet the requirements for the TC-L4 tutor role but do not yet have experience as clinical supervisors. While it is not a substitute for a formal supervision qualification, the aim is to equip delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to confidently facilitate group training supervision and prepare candidates for client work.
Further details will be shared over the coming months. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Qualification Development team: liz@cpcab.co.uk or molly@cpcab.co.uk.

Ahead of our Spring/Summer EV visits, we would like to remind you of our minimum sampling requirement.

To ensure a smooth visit, we ask that the following info is complete and returned to your EV 2 weeks prior to your scheduled visit
