Regulated Qualifications and Progression Route

CPCAB are dedicated to providing the best counselling and life coaching qualifications. By continually reviewing the latest research into effective counselling we guarantee that our qualifications are up-to-date and relevant.

The CPCAB model of practitioner development underpins all our qualifications. The model is research informed and continually evolving, and can be applied across a wide range of counselling modalities and training programmes.

We also have a unique progression route (below) which provides a clearly defined pathway to becoming a qualified counsellor. In addition, the progression route is directly linked to the service levels used when practising as a counsellor.

Before you embark on your first qualification we recommend completing ‘How to Become a Counsellor: CPCAB’s Free Counselling Training Taster’.

Training to be a fully qualified counsellor is an exciting and rewarding journey, but it is a big commitment. We created our training taster to give you the necessary information to make an informed decision about your training journey and ensure you know what to expect from counselling training.

Explore the training taster to discover more about the counselling landscape, the route to achieving your career goal, and an understanding of the knowledge and skills required to become a counsellor.
